Which linux for android ?

Hello all ,

I am just confused about the fact that google has on their web portal that android relies on Linux version 2.6 but which linux they have not specified it.


If anyone has idea about it , reply to this post.

I assume you mean "Which linux distribution does Android use". Well, android uses only the linux kernel, and some part of the userspace. It does not use the other utilities and applications of linux e.g. web browser, home screen, applications nothing are what you'd find in a linux distro like ubuntu or fedora.
