Hello Every one,

I have one question about SCEA exam. I have cleared SCJP exam and now preparing SCWCD. I have complete half of the book and planning to give within 2 months.

My question is I have to read about EJB for SCEA exam. Actually I have gone through some SCEA mock and it contains many question on EJB and dont't like EJB to read.

I have no plan to give SCBCD exam.Directly wants to give SCEA exam.

So can you tell me what I have to do for SCEA exam. Is there any necessity to give SCBCD or read about EJB.

What I have to do for directly give SCEA exam.

Hi there, actually I am also interested in SCEA, currently tackling SCJD. And did some research a bit myself.

I'm not sure if you are asking is this: "How much EJB knowledge do you need for SCEA?".

I know that the J2EE core is really EJB but how in depth I don't know. I doubt the SCEA is more in depth than SCBCD.

In general SCEA is exam then UML project and essay - much like the SCJP/SCJD process only SCJD is coding.

I'm afraid that most of the mock questions out on the net are poor examples of what the SCEA requires for JEE 5 knowledge. Most of the mock tests I've seen dwell on trivia questions about EJB 2.

The SCEA exam doesn't require an intimate knowledge of the APIs and low-level details, but you will absolutely need to know all the general concepts, properties, and behavior of EJB 3 development. I read EJB 3 in Action prior to taking the test. It is a good source of what you need to know.

I've put my own SCEA notes out on the web: http://architecture.webhop.org/
