How can I implement AJAX with Faclet

I am using trinidad + spring web flow in a project. We use facelet to create the whole page. Header, side bar, foot and middle content are different facelet "ui:composition". Now we need add ajax effect on the page. The user clicks the menu on the side bar, only the middle part content will be refreshed, which is a facelet composition or component. How can I achieve this? Can anyone give some suggestions? Thanks.
