I have a previous generation black macbook.
I installed windows with the help of bookcamp, and I want to give my machine for presentation and that will happen on windows.
So I am going to buy Mini-DVI to VGA Adapter, But I am not sure which command or function to use to start projector like in windows we do f7 or f8.

I think using F7 or F8 to toggle display settings is specific to certain brands of laptops - and possibly to specific versions of Windows on those laptops - it's not some global Windows thing. I've heard some Apple laptops use F7 / Fn-F7 to toggle display settings, but when I've plugged my Vista BootCamped MacBook Pro into a projector, I've usually had to go under Display Settings, and see an additional monitor (the projector) and click "Extend My Desktop Onto This Monitor". Sometimes I have to reboot in order for this to take effect, too.
