Driving into work, I was listening to NPR. Robert Reich came on, outlining what he thought would be the best economic stimulus plan. As he went on, I kept thinking "He can't be serious, can he? CAN he? WHAT IS HE TALKING ABOU... oh yeah". I figured it out JUST before he said "Happy April 1st".
Then, later, Frank DeFord was on, and started talking about lawsuits against teams like the Lions or the Ravens, because the teams suck and they are disparaging the noble animals. He got as far as bringing PETA in before i realized it too was a joke.
then, a friend sent a link saying that the Guardian was going to stop it's paper edition, and only send out stories as tweets. further, the were going to re-write all their old articles as well, like "OMG!!! - Hitler invades Poland! WTF???"
There are only two hard things in computer science: cache invalidation, naming things, and off-by-one errors
The one that got me the best was an article stating Windows 7 would be released in a single version (to accelerate the uptake and help people forget about Vista)
Another was about Microsoft requesting bailout money.
