Image files storage

When I save the image file(Captured with camera) with the same name whether it will be same or android will overwrite the same file again.
I am using emulator that's why I can't verify it.

I think otherwise. Use DDMS to browse the file system on the emulator and see if the images are being overwritten.
The images captured by the camera are stored in the DCIM folder.
