i know that to set PATH i can do :
export PATH=mypath/path/path > ~/.bash_profile
but it doesn't seems to be permanent..... how can i make it permanent such that everytime i log into terminal the path will there....

If you have placed the export command in your .bash_profile correctly, it will get executed every time that you log in.
