Hi guys, I was studying Java and I came across this bioinformatics field. I was wondering if we could anything in Java and do something in this field. What do you guys suggest?!

I'm not sure what you mean by "do something" - Java is a general-purposes language that can be used in just about any application domain, and certainly in bioinformatics. Some hits from the first page of Google results: Java for Bioinformatics, Java APIs for Bioinformatics, Web Services for Bioinformatics, Bioinformatics Algorithms in java

I spent two and a half years writing Java for a startup doing wireless sensor bioinformatics.

Of course you can do cool stuff in that area using Java. (and Linux and Apache and MySql)

I agree. Here's the link: http://zeroturnaround.com/jrebel - it saves me about five hours per week
