This week's book giveaway is in the Mac OS forum. We're giving away four copies of a choice of "Take Control of Upgrading to Yosemite" or "Take Control of Automating Your Mac" and have Joe Kissell on-line! See this thread for details.
I have a reasonably large java project already within eclipse; stored on a subversion server. Our design docs and spec have come from external tools and it has never really integrated or connected well with the actual classes and code that is written. That is, after some changes from the original specs, the in-situ code deviates from the design somewhat and we are typically bad at updating the design docs to suit.
I have two questions:
Can Agilian create uml diagrams from already-existing code? That is, can I just import some selected classes for Agilian to create some diagrams out of?
Can it connect/sync with the code when classes are changed? That is, once linked to a class, will a UML diagram detect that a method has been added/modified and flag a sync issue?
Agilian is an agile model which do not support code engineering. For code engineering, you may checkout our UML CASE tool product (i.e. VP-UML / SDE).
However, if we develop the model in Agilian and subsequently using the same model we can generate the code using VP-UML / SDE rite? Meaning the model developed in Agilian is transparent across your products rite?

Yes, you can develop the model in Agilian and open the project in VP-UML or SDE to generate code. Yes, all project file are compatible with in our product site. We have a good number of users using mixed products with Teamwork Server. The Teamwork Server is used for collaboration and versioning.
