Hi Rain Wong,

Could you please provide you perspective on how Agilian is better then StarUml?

Thanks,

Devender.

I use StarUML. Its great for UML, but from what I've read Agilian is a one stop shop for all your modeling needs.

StarUML also seems to be a dormant project now.

Thanks Paul Wallace, yes Agilian provides one stop shop tool for modeling. I would like to add one comment. In usability point of view, Agilian provides more tools to assist modeler to perform modeling. Following are few advanced modeling functions:

  • Resource-centric interface for fast model element creation
  • Quick connect for easy to connect shapes in large diagram
  • Various connector style selection to fit to different look and feel requirements
  • Easily reclaim diagramming space with Sweeper
  • Space elimination using Magnet
  • Define - reuse and manage frequently used pattern with Design pattern

    Thanks for you reply guys.
    Another question:
Is it possible to reverse engineer a sequence diagram from java code using Agilian?

Since Agilian is going to provide agile modeling tools for developer (to help developer to express their idea in effective way), there is no code generation and reverse engineering function in Agilian. If you need Class Diagram code generation and reverse engineering function, you may consider our Visual Paradigm for UML.
