Struts 2 or Struts 1 beginner

Dear Ranchers,
I am new to struts. I just wish to know with which struts version should i start my learning. I know struts 2 and struts 1 are totally different but don't know which version should i go for.

I believe in new technology, If you are planning to learn Struts, then I suggest go for Struts 2, But knowing Struts 1 is handy because there are lots of existing project built in Struts 1, so if the prospective employer is looking for someone who can maintain his existing web application, he will look for Struts 1 guys.
