Hi
I have Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate. I installed Apache Tomacat 6. I click Monitor
Tomcat
, then I get a popup with the following message:
Zugriff verweigert
Unable to open the service 'tomcat6'
How can I solve this problem? I can not start Apache Tomcat.
Kind regards, Urs

Tomcat can be installed either as a service or as an application.
Exactly what steps did you follow to install Tomcat?

For the non-Germans under us: "Zugriff verweigert" roughly means "Access denied".
Make sure that the user account used has sufficient privileges to run it. This is a problem at OS level, not at Tomcat level.

Hi
I downloaded Apache Tomcat 6.x. I chose Windows Service Installer.
How can I make sure that the user account used has sufficient privileges to run it? Me too I think it is a so called OS problem.
Kind regards, Urs
