What's going on with validateCompareTo?

validateCompareTo - Validates this component against another component

I've downloaded commons-validator-1.3.1.jar and it's not in there.

It appears to be a legacy feature that perhaps never fully worked so they yanked it. Is this a fair assumption?

-- I'm trying to compare two dates from inputCalendar components of the Apache MyFaces Tomahawk. The search for validateCompareTo keeps running me in circles. Is there somewhere to find it, or should I write my own validator?

Also note that validateCompareTo appears to be in the MyFaces Commons Validator Tag Library (http://myfaces.apache.org/commons12/myfaces-validators12/tagreference.html#mcv:validateCompareTo)... but where is the download and why is the maven report showing all the items being missing? I assume this library is considered legacy?

I actually think the validateCompareTo may be in the Sandbox, based on some examples I found. I also assume that the Sandbox is for development only, and shouldn't be used in an operational fashion.

Any help would be appreciated.
