I think SCDJWS5 came in Jan 2009 and presently there are not many good books and simulators for it. Should i start preparing for SCDJWS 1.4 instead ? As there are RMH book available for 1.4 version.... I am new to web services...

Or i can take totally different path and start preparing for SCBCD 5? I am new to SCBCD (EJB3 ) as well..

I've done SCDJWS1.4, because the SCDJWS5 was not available. If your preparing yourself for learning webservices and want to use your knowledge in a practical way just do SCDJWS 5.0.

The reason why I did SCDJWS before SCBCD was that I needed the knowledge by helping my customers. If that wasn't an argument for me I would first go for SCBCD but the choice is yours.

I suggest to go for SCDJWS 5, 1.4 is quite outdated especially JAX-RPC topic.
