Hello,
I would like to take the SCJP exam for Standard Edition 6 (I have experience in C and VC#).
I have Head First Java which covers Java 5.0, and I am thinking of purchasing the SCJP Sun Certified Programmer for Java 6 Study Guide.
Do you recommend following the Java 5.0 Head First guide and Java 6 SCJP study guide for a Java 6 exam (they are different versions)?
Thank you
Regards
MCU

There is no big difference between SCJP 5 and 6 version, Look at this FAQ entry. Also the same link will help to answer most of you SCJP doubts. So I suggest get K&B book for you , really I never read anything apart from this for Java, not even HFJ.
And I don't like to call you "micro chip", Am I talking to hardware ?
Get a good name for you.
And Welcome to JR

For passing the exam with 100%, the SCJP study guide by Kathy Sierra and Bert Bates alone is enough...
