Hi guys , I'm out Hunting for a new notebook and have trimmed down my choices to one of the two 1 . Toshiba satellite A105 -------------------- Processor Type : Core� Duo T2050 1.60GHz Display Type * : Widescreen XGA with TruBrite� Technology Display Resolution * : 1280x800 Graphics Memory * : 128MB dynamically allocated shared graphics Hard Drive Size * : 100GB 2MB cache Bus speed 533 MHZ RAM 1GB Price : 760$ scree size 15.3'' 2 . Acer Aspire 5580 ---------------- Intel� Core� 2 Duo T5500 1.6GHz Bus Speed 667MHz Level 2 cache 2MB HDD 120GB Screen size 14.1" with TruBrite� Technology Video memory - 224MB Display Resolution * : 1280x800 Please help me in making a choice . Sorry to add ... The cost of Acer is 1049$ -- Is 5580 worth the money spend? Regards , Av~

Judging by the specs and cost, why would you even consider the Acer 5580? I would suggest you to go for another model in the Toshiba range.

That's coz Toshiba's actual price is 900$ - I'm getting it fo a discount

That's a significant price difference (which I assume is because you're comparing a 1st generation Core Duo with a 2nd generation), so it's kind of a difficult comparison. What exactly are you going to be doing with this machine? And how long do you expect it to remain viable?
