I have this code but I don't understand something in the second output



corretct output is :
#1 true
#2 false
#3 false
#4 false

I don't get, why the second output is false why is not using the Q.equals method?

The second line is giving false because you have overloaded the equals method and not overriden, so in 2nd case the Object class equals method is called.

change your equals method to

Use @Override for overriding methods...........to avoid

Does this compile..................is there another class Q1........

Its not over ridden method.........its just overloaded

So if a method is overload, the important thing are the parameters that are use to call one of the overload method.. ?
