Understand Griffon is Grails-like framework in Groovy for Desktop development. Anybody have any experience on this?

Like to know how Griffon is better than Swing?.

It might help you to take a look at this presentation I gave at a local Groovy Users Group. There is a slide deck and some working sample applications.

There are also a couple of slide decks on Slideshare.

Here is one I gave at Devoxx 2008: here
Danno presented this one at the Denver Open Source Users Group.

We also package a couple of sample applications in the download at http://griffon.codehaus.org
