Welcome annamalai,

First, let me tell you that you don't need to worry about somebody laughing at you, people are very respectful around here and are willing to help. I don't know what is you programming level. If you programmed before in OOP language, then It would not take too much to understand java. If you haven't programmed before, then I think you should read an intro java book than a SCJP study guide. This website has a forum for java beginners also, take a look at that forum and if you feel that is very intro for you, come back at this one,

Regards,
Armando

Your post was moved to the SCJP forum because you asked about doing SCJP. And please read the private message I am about to send you.

The JavaRanch has a FAQ that may help....

http://faq.javaranch.com/java/ScjpFaq

This FAQ has recommendations to beginner books. References to the components of the SCJP. And references to free tools (mock tests) which you can use to practice for the test.

Please don't reopen a weeks-old thread.
Please don't ask your questions on somebody else's thread; you ought to have started a new thread.
