Error assigning bean value to jsp variable

Hi All,

Am using the Struts bean:define tag to get a value of a variable and assign it using scriplets in jsp. But this throws a traceback. This is my code

This is just a guess, but perhaps the variable is being defined in the context of the try block, hence not available elsewhere.

In any case, this is very inappropriate JSP code--nothing should ever be written like this, and there's absolutely no reason to do so. Put the Java code in the action--that's where Java belongs.
