Case sensitive login name?

Oops.. coderanch login name is case sensitive. But that's not mentioned anywhere (well anywhere my eyes could reach).
Case insensitive login name is what normally used... I think it follows the convention of email address, which is not case sensitive.

Every system I have ever set up uses case sensitive credentials. The purpose of credentials is security, why be lax about it?

Hmmm - perhaps we could add a message to the login screen stating that the login credentials are case sensitive. (Added to internal wish list)

I do not think the username is case sensitive. I just logged in with mixed case and had no issues.
