I have an application running on Tomcat on Solaris platform, i'm trying to print some debug messages through System.out.print() from my applications code (thisuse to work fine on Windows when Tomcat is started from command prompt all the system.out messages use to get displayed on command prompt itself). But on Solaris platform Tomcat gets launched as a background process and hence i'm not getting my messages.
Any idea how to overcome this, one thing is to get these mesaages logged in a file but if i dont want to do that then?

I hv not installed Tomcat in Solaris. But I can tell your background process are indeed routed to logs. check the startup scripts and see where the logs are routed ( usually it ends with something like "&" in shell scripts)
I’ve looked at a lot of different solutions, and in my humble opinion Aspose is the way to go. Here’s the link: http://aspose.com
