jstl tag library

I put jstl tag library in the lib directory of the web-inf.
but it still gives error in my jsp?
where to put jstl tag library?

Just right click to JSTL library and select Add to configure build path after that it add to Reference library.

If it is from the starting in the Reference library then just recompile your code.

You need to check for this in your web.xml

and on your jsp

above code compulsory written at jsp page .........

but in web.xml it is not mandatory...

DO NOT put any declarations in your web.xml -- they are not necessary and just get in the way.

Have you followed the directions in the JSP FAQ on configuring the JSTL? Depending upon which version you are using, there may be two jar files that you need.
