hey everybody!
i'm having a problem with my project. i dont know how server to shutdown or retart clients.

Hello and welcome to the JavaRanch

unfortunately your post gives very few information about what you are really trying to do! First there are many technologies involved when it comes to distributed Java applications ranging from EJB to XML-RPC and many more. What kind of "distributed" application are we talking about here? Second what exactly do you mean by "shutdown or restarts client"? Do you really want to stop or restart the whole application? Or do you only want to invalidate some kind of session?

Perhaps you could tell us a little bit more about your problem...
