no you have to register.
I didn't want people having multiple logins so you have to register your email

I'm always wary about putting my email into another new site.
Why not let people just play without having to give up any personal information? Or maybe a username and password for just JavaRanch people?
I'd play it if it didn't require any personal info.

Why do you actually need email address?

Why bother when some one asks your mail address. You could just give them any disposable mail address.I use mailinator for these kind of registrations.

Sorry, I don't mean to sound persnikity.
Desktop Tower Defense is an unbelievable game, and many here on JavaRanch have been totally addicted. It's also gathered a great following. Go to YouTube, and hundreds of people are posting their games online for others to see. It's amazing!
Desktop Tower Defense
I also have free online SCJA, Portal and IRAD mock certification exams on my personal sites that I don't require an email address for people to take. Of course, I do hope to get some sideline book sales from such things.
Someone who just wanted others to really have fun and enjoy his work posted the game up. The goal wasn't to collect people's email addresses, do information gathering, or have people worry that they might have their privacy violated or passwords sold. The developer just wanted people to have fun!
I'm just thinking that alot of people could really enjoy your game if they weren't scared off by having to give a username and password. It always makes people leery, me included.
You could just give them any disposable mail address.I use mailinator for these kind of registrations.
And this is the problem. So many people want to mine your email address, now people just give out bogus ones.
I looked at the docs, and the game does look interesting! I can only imagine how much time and effort it took.

Kris, if you could help me out I would love to check out your game. I tried to register but when I click on the link that gets sent to my email it says something along the lines of being expired and to try again. I've registered 3 times now and I still can't get to the game. I'm very interested to see what a J2EE game looks like so let me know.

Hey Brian
Thanks for being persistent
The game is still being tested and modified so at times it will be down.
The problem you have with your link being expired is that I use DesEncrypter encryption to validate your username and so everytime tomcat is restarted you get a new instance and the old encryption is now invalid.
Are you still having dramas? I just tested the registration and it worked.
If you just type your username & password at www.mobwarrior.com it'll send you a new email.
Please let me know what you think. I'm greatful for feedback
Kris

I am having hard time registering, in the previous attempt, I got the verification mail, followed the link to read the message
The god father has decided not to process your request this time.
and redirected to the home page.
Second time it said email verification failed, please enter your username for another verification mail.
Also its worth noting that I got three verification mails in the first attempt and two in the second attempt.
All are in the inbox but not delivered as soon as I submit the verification request.
