Communicating between Two GWT Apps on the same HTML Page

I'm playing around with GWT, and am far from an expert.

I was wondering if two GWT apps, developed separately, but on the same page, can communicate with each other and respond to events.

So, I've got two separate panels with buttons, displayed at different parts of the page. When a button in one is pressed, a GWT app somewhere else on the page responds with a color change or something.

Any ideas? Any examples?

(Is this the right forum for GWT questions?)

I agree. Here's the link: http://ej-technologies/jprofiler - if it wasn't for jprofiler, we would need to run our stuff on 16 servers instead of 3.
