This week's book giveaway is in the General Computing forum. We're giving away four copies of Arduino in Action and have Martin Evans, Joshua Noble, and Jordan Hochenbaum on-line! See this thread for details.

A common line repeated throughout the 6 movies is "May the Force be with you". Today's (well..yesterday to me) date is a pun on that slogan.

The longest Star Wars movie is just over 3 hours. The extended edition of Lord of the Rings are all close to, if not over, 4 hours. I have watched both, and I feel I have a great life I'm living.
Clearly you are from the Dark side.....Darth Sidious, perhaps?

What Star Wars film is even 3 hours? The longest seems to be Attack of the Clones at 142 minutes. Are you including deleted scenes or something?

I thought Attack of the Clones was three hours....maybe Anakin's whining made it FEEL like three hours. I'm a huge Star Wars geek, but man that dialogue was painful in some places....

and just to clarify, its not the context of the movie(s) that I'm against, its just the idea of sitting in one spot for so long for little or no payoff. I just can't watch long films. Don't know why. Like the whole lord of the rings thing was good, I read the books and all that, but the films were just too long. Fell asleep in most of them. Yet I can do a 10 hour stint in front of the computer programming. Go figure.
Away from OT though: One good movie I've watched lately was Paranormal Activity. THAT was a good movie. Alone, midnight, lights off with 7.1 surround. Omg. hahaha was gold.
