I've always wondered how snakes have survived this long.

Like, when a snake eats somethign like that, it's not too mobile. Any animal could just pretty much come up to it and kill it. It can't put up much of a fight with a hippo in its belly.

I guess not many animals are interested in eating a snake that contains a partially digested hippo.
