Hello,

Is there a way to configure Tomcat to restart every 5 hours?

Thanks

You could use cron or "schedule tasks" to restart it, but why would you want to?

I m using a free hosting service that will shut down your server every 6 hours. and you need to restart it.

can you suggest any better solution for that?

Thanks for your help

What process do you use to restart the server now?

Are you allowed to put other applications or even batch (or shell script) files on this hosting service?

I'd say use cron or "schedule tasks".

Step 1: Find a better hosting service.

I guess they do that to let you buy the service.

but that is the only bad thing i noticed about the service. so for a free J2EE hosting. that is the best service i could find.

Can you suggest an alternative free j2ee hosting?

Thanks
