Dragging and dropping links from other browser windows

Hi,

Does anyone know how to do the following...

What I would like to do is to be able to use the functionality in Firefox where you can drag and drop almost anything to drag a link to a PDF from one firefox window to another JSF fronted window in another instance of firefox such that I could catch the URL for the PDF in the backing bean. I know you can do drag and drop with icefaces but you have to tag the object you are dragging which you can't do in this case. Plus if you drag the PDF link to another window at the moment firefox opens the the link in that window so I assume I would need to somehow intercept the 'drop' in some way before firefox did the opening.

Thanks for any help,

Paul

Teach me to post so quickly...

I think I have found a possible solution. If I install the following firefox plug in:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2190

I can drag the link over an input box and it will convert it to the URL and add it.
