Is their any alternative for java.text.SimpleDateFormat in J2ME?

I want to print date in this format : MMddHHmmss

Thanks in advance.

I'd have to go read the J2ME JavaDocs to be sure. But in the standard Java, SimpleDateFormat subclasses DateFormat, and DateFormat allows user-defined date/time patterns.

I think you can use Calender class and do this.
You will have to implement your own methods to do this anyway...
