submission subject lines

When you submit an assignment to me, please use the following subject line:

Cattle Drive ____________

Where "__________" would be replaced with something about the assignment you are working on.

Please use the exact same subject line for future assignments, that way, in gmail, I can see what i said the last time.

What about the code? Just cut and paste into email body and/or attached with email?

Which way is easier for you guys to edit?

In the body of the email - not as an attachment.

And the email should be plain text - not rich text format or any other format.

So I fell way behind in hundreds of emails recently, but I'm making a lot of progress this morning.

I just did a search for "cattle drive" and it would appear that I am all caught up!

Since some folks are struggling with following my directions here, maybe it will help if I explain my reasons.

Every day I get a pile of email and a lot of unread email slides back into a massive pile of undread email. When I get a moment to do the cattle drive stuff, I do a search for "cattle drive" with the space. So if you sent me something that says "my latest assignment" then you will probably never hear back from me.

So a subject line like this is good:

cattle drive OOP-3

and a subject line like this is lame:

OOP-3

and a subject like this is lame:

cattle drive OOP-3 second attempt

and a subject like this is extra lame:

OOP-3 second attempt.

Yes, yes, yes, Katrina and Marilyn are much kinder than I am, but hey, some really thorough abuse is what you signed up for right?

If you send me the second attempt at an assignment, please be sure to reply to what I sent you. That way I can more easily follow what I said before.
