I have passed the SCDJWS 5 exam. The score is not great, though. I had a voucher that was about to expire next week, so, I had no choice.
The passing score is 42%, even though the sun's site says otherwise.
In order to prepare for the exam I have spent about 30-40 hours on text books and rest was my practical experience.
On the exam:
I have not seen any questions specifically asking for identifying difference in old or new version. Most of the question could be applied on old or new version equally.
Be good at XML schema. There are quite a few question on that. Pay attention, in particular to, BP compliance on WSDL and
SOAP. ( I think it does not matter 1.0a or 1.1 as I have not seen any specify questions)
You should know the code for JAXR UDDI
You should know the code for XML processing option in
JAVA.
Be thorough on Security option available
Be good at WSIT.
Be good in annotation for Web services.
