IDEMPOTENT unchanged in value following multiplication by itself comes from latin idem(same) Ad Idem Of same mind ie as one; agreed "the parties are ad idem on this point" potens(having power) is also used in potential, impotent I could not find an image on web to relate the word with image, but including an image will be good idea my turn abulia

oops missed that one, a person who likes, knows about, and appreciates a usually fervently pursued interest or activity it comes from Spanish aficionar to engender affection the word affection comes from latin affectiōn disposition or state of mind or body(positive most of the time) other words derived are affectionate derived from Spanish root it's used for fans of bullfight can also be used for movie buffs and other fanatics [ June 19, 2007: Message edited by: prateek urmaliya ]
