We regret to announce that former sheriff Mapraputa Is has been relieved of her position at JavaRanch, and is now in the process of being deported back to Russia where she will doubtless be debriefed by her former Soviet spymasters. Fortunately, most of what she was exposed to was misinformation, and it will be nearly impossible to sort things out. (But then, I suppose that's true for all of us.)
If there was a prize for biggest sperm in nature, it would go to Drosophila bifurca, a tiny fruit fly whose coiled sperm would measure more than 2 inches long if straightened out.
Note: When sorting large quantities of anesthetized flies in a genetics lab, it's inevitable that you will transport some with you. Within a week or two, your car and your apartment will be well populated with little D. melanogasters.

By the way, Jim, the Center isn't totally pleased with your job performance. They asked me to remind that you have to use the US Constitution to code your messages, and not Ender's Game. The guys from deciphering department don't have to track down all your Borders purchases just to be able to read your reports.
