Hi All,

I am wanting to learn Java and come from a background of RPGLE on the IBM AS400. I was looking at a book titled Precisely Java by MIT Press. Can anyone give me advice on whether this book would be the way to learn the language. Also, I'd like to sit for the Programmer certification. What books would you suggest?

Thanks,

Mark

Hi Mark A. Lee,

I am from RPG, AS/400 environment too :=) I would suggest you to start with Head First Java followed by Muarch Java 6.
