Hi

I am interested in the Cattle Drive, I have read the info on the Cattle Drive page but dont quite understand what work I would be doing.

Can someone explain the benefits and give some examples of assignments?

Cheers

Mick, look at this:http://www.javaranch.com/java-college.jsp
You can actually try the assignments on your own, but you'll have to sign up for the drive to get your code nitpicked.
Well worth it. Anyone can write code that works, but writing readable code that works well is another matter.

Mick, Carol mentioned the page that contains a list of "drive" you need to go through once you decide go for it.

First, you need sign-up for Cattle Drive from this page:

http://www.javaranch.com/drive/about.jsp

Second, read style page as many/often as possible, you'll go back to that page many times as you start coding. This is something you'll probably never learn from school.

Last but not least, you can win "stuff" too
