When they are space walking, the astronauts do a glove check every 30 minutes to see if there's damage to the gloves. They started doing this procedure since a few shuttle missions ago, when it was discovered only after the shuttle had returned to earth that the gloves of the astronauts where damaged. A few days ago one of the astronauts was called back early into the space station because there was damage on his gloves. After investigation it looks like he hasn't been in danger, the damage went through 2 of the 5 layers of his space suit.
