Google has lots of very good programs - the search engine ofcourse, but also Gmail, Google Maps, Google Earth, Google Desktop etc.
Ofcourse Wikipedia is also great.
I tried Second Life for a while, and the idea is interesting, but after a while I got bored with it. It's a lot of hype and there are a lot of companies that think they are missing something when they're not in Second Life, but I think that for now it's just a lot of hype and not the revolution that some people think it is. It's the first site I go to every morning, and has been since, oh, about 1999.
It's got the news, it's got the weather, it's got sports results, it's got comics, it ties in with Yahoo Mail, it hooks into Yahoo Maps, it's got the basic financial numbers, and so much more.
