I'm preparing for SCEA part 1. I read in one of the sites that, it is good to have SCBCD certification. I have cleared SCJP and SCWCD. Please suggest whether any other certifications are required to clear SCEA. If yes, Which other certifications will help.

Did you check the SCEA Faq ?

And please check your private messages for an important administrative matter. You can check them by clicking the My Private Messages link above.

There is no pre-req for SCEA.

I got my SCJA and then my SCEA, without any programmer, web, or business developer cert. Ten years of industry experience didn't hurt, though.

I passed SCBCD and then SCEA (part 1).
And it's true that SCBCD really helps in topics such as Security, Transactions, Scalability, Messaging, etc.
In SCEA, there is a big part of EJB and related patterns.

So, SCBCD is not required but it helps a lot.

But I recommend you to pass directly SCEA: preparing yourself for SCBCD will oblige you to go deep in the details of EJB development (that is out of the scope of SCEA) and will be costly (200$).

EJB3 knowledge is definitely something that is often lacking with people hitting SCEA. I concur that a good grounding in EJB will be helpful.
