    Marilyn,
Noticed I was not listed under the assignments pending. Wanted to confirm that it was received. Thx.

If it's not too much trouble, can you provide an update of the pending assignments?
I really appreciated this post on pending assignements because it helped me to realize how many others are submitting assignments!

    Hi, Marilyn!
Am I on Santa's list too? (Aren't there any elves who can help you?)

No elves who can help with servlets (yet). I'm very sorry. It's just been a really hectic week. I'm leaving the house at 5 am and returning at 10 pm (2200). But I promise I'll catch up very soon.

I'm not positive, but I think that your assignment was buried for a time in my unread email, Joel. I still have some (servlet/jdbc) assignments that I received before May 9th that I just haven't had the time to nitpick yet as they generally take longer to do. But I thought I'd at least get some out, even though they're done out of order.

It okay, Marilyn. Just getting the easier and smaller assignments out of the way is perfectly understandable. That is what we do in our own examinations, getting the easier ones done first, isn't it?

    Hi, Marilyn!
That last assignment was "sorta" exciting (Har Har ... OK that was cheesy). But thank you for squeezing me in. That is quite a list of assignments you have there.
"Lookup" is in the mail so please add me to your list.
    Thanks again!

I sure hope I haven't stepped on any toes here.
Marilyn, I truly, honestly, and earnestly hope this didn't seem negative to you or strike you in a bad way. If it did, please accept my abject apologies and rest assured that in no way do I hold any doubts or concerns about your inherent goodness. I wasn't offended. I just feel really bad that I'm making you wait so long. If you're like me, you're checking your email at least three times a day to see if your nitpick is there.

It would seem to me that this information would integrate well into the assignment log as an additional column after the submission date stating whether a submitted assignment has been nitpicked.

Except that Jason and Pauline are handling the log entirely separately from the person doing the nitpicking. I would have to get the info to them to be incorporated into the log. And they would have to pass their info to each other. More fingers in the pie.

Also, we try not to get so far behind that people start worrying whether or not their assignment has been received, so it would really be nothing but extra work for the nitpickers most of the time.
