I'm trying to debug jsp pages from netbeans and I get the following error:

Stopping of Tomcat failed, the C:\java\Tomcat 6.0\bin\catalina.bat startup script is missing.
C:\projects\WebApp\nbproject\build-impl.xml:651: Stopping of Tomcat failed, the C:\java\Tomcat 6.0\bin\catalina.bat startup script is missing.
BUILD FAILED (total time: 3 seconds)

I know it's because I use the exe installer, not the zip...

is there some way to copy those .bat files instead of having to remove tomcat and intalling it again from the zip?

thanks a lot

saludos

well

I just went with the zip version and everything worked like a charm

I created the service with service.bat and that's it

Didn't even had to create an enrironment variable to point to tomcat home nor anything like that...

I still wonder, what are the benefits / differences with the exe installer, besides the nice "next", "next", "next" installation?

saludos
