This is more of a statement than a question, but a question will follow; I'm in intermediate Java right now and we use NetBeans to develop our classes and GUIs. This is the first time I've ever used a GUI and it's very interesting. I didn't realize what all could be done with Java. One of the windows we developed with buttons looked almost exactly like a button/menu screen in Microsoft word. What other platforms use GUIs, or is Java the GUI platform used widely to develop the everyday things for users of computers? What other obvious websites or applications were developed from Java GUI? I'm quite curious. Thank you in advance for anwering.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
