Struts- Templates

Hello,

I am planning to use Struts-Templates for my application.
I have seen this tutorial in Oreilly and found that
we need a template definition page which is fine.
I saw that for each Page, you need to create a content page separately and then a page to add the header, footer and content page to the template.
If that is the case, for each page required, you will have 2 JSP's, one content page, one to add the pages to the template.
Is my understanding wrong or that is how it is?
I also see a direct="true" attribute set for the title which avoids looking for the value in the separate page.
Can I use it for the content page? If so can you provide me an exmaple?

Please find the code that I referred to below:

Template Definition:

Adding Pages to the Template:

Content Page- middle1.jsp

Some Code....

Thanks,
Leela.
