Go to the Olympic national park. You could spend 2-3 days visiting the beaches, forests.. There's also a drive-in wildlife sanctuary.

Mount St Helens - check conditions

Snoqualmie Falls can be nice, but with temperatures below freezing and snow in the pass, you might want to give it a miss. It's only around 1 hours drive out of Seattle, so less than 1/2 day if you do go there.

I like Tillicum Village but I have heard people talk about the "tourist trap" aspect and/or the exploitive nature of such places - you would have to decide for yourself.

There are always the usual Seattle favorites - the Space Needle, Pike Place Market, the Underground Tour, and the Boeing Factory (and Museum of Flight)

Victoria and Vancouver are very easy to get to from Seattle.

Mount Ranier National Park.

There are neat little towns around Wenatchee.

Grand Coulee Dam

The beaches around Westport, Wa are really wild in the winter. Although further south towards Ilwaco is a bit nicer.

A short ferry ride to Bainbridge Island and back is quite nice, especially at night.

Vancouver Island in BC is a very nice place as is Vancouver, BC.

A word of caution. If you are driving in the mountains, even if the weather seems nice stay on the main roads, and have plenty of emergency supplies. Things can turn bad quickly, don't get lost like that poor editor from CNET last winter in Oregon and not be prepared for it.

Even in the summer, it is a good idea to be prepared when venturing in the mountains.
