How many hours do you travel?

Guys,

I live in Bangalore and just to cover a stretch of 13 kms to my office, it takes me 2 hours with my bike.

How is it with you in the city you live? Is is so much of traffic?

This topic was discussed before... but things change.

Driving a gas guzzler, I used to commute 45 miles one way until the gas prices started to make a huge hole in our budget in addition to oil changes + maintenance.

I now drive 6 miles to work, it ranges from 15 mins to 50 mins. But, I am not complaining. I get to spend more time with my little girl who just turned 3.

I've 18 km to my office for which I need 15 minutes by car (using the autobahn)

I travel 53 miles one way and 58 miles while coming back from my office.
It takes my somewhere between 1.5-2hrs provided there is no accident on highway!

Distance from my home to office is 300 meters. It take 10 min walk( 2 songs).

It takes 15 minutes to drive to work and there's at least a 30 min drive back home. I try to come in late and leave even later due to the deadly annoying traffic.

Let's see I wake up and start working.

0 seconds travel time.

But my previous job was about a 1 hour drive with traffic.

Two minutes drive or 10 mins walk to the station, and an hour in train - both ways.

It's 13 km from my home to my office. It takes me just over half an hour to do that on my bicycle and maybe 20 minutes by car.

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum. I love the site. Great place. With that said, it takes me about 25 minutes to go about 20 miles to work one way. The nice part is that my wife works next door a the prison and we keep the same hours. Makes for good fuel economy

I drive around 17 miles one way to the office. It takes me 40 mins to 1 hr (depending on the traffic which is usually very high) because first, I drop my wife at her office and then my son at the school. Same route in reverse while coming back.

My answer got better since last time this was discussed. Now it's only an hour and five minutes each way by mass transit.

30 minutes to the office (I stop and get brekfast), 20 minutes home. round trip is about 15 miles.

4 hours I waste everyday in Bangalore due to the huge huge traffic here. What a waste of time...

My office is not too far from home
it just takes for me 20 minutes

to
reach office and while coming since
there is loads of traffic so it takes
35 minutes................

Also I might add that the winter has started now. This merely doubles my travel time, since the streets are covered in white fresh snow. I ain't looking forward to the next 4 months.

I live about 6 km from the office where I work, it takes me about 15 minutes by car or by bike.

Traffic jams here in The Netherlands are horrible every day, we're in a small country with almost 6 million cars. For my previous project I worked about 30 km from home and it took me about 1 hour 15 mins to travel that distance, so that was 2 hrs 30 min in the car each day, even though it was not really far away.
