I remember buying their first album, Murmur, when it came out in 1983, thinking "Radio Free Europe" was cool, but not being able to get into the rest of it. I passed on their next 4 releases, thinking I had the high points covered with Eponymous. Picked up a few of their other discs, but essentially forgot about them after Monster in '94. Big mistake.
This year, I finally got it. Damn, this stuff is good! No, I mean really good. I filled in my R.E.M. library (13 studio albums!) and wonder how I missed this over the last 24 years.

Really good stuff, I actually prefer the older stuff when you really couldn't understand a word he sang. Actually, I think I don;t have those first two CDs anymore, and should pick them up again.
