I just want to have a clear picture of the terms like reference.
I get confused when terms like member variables, instance variables etc come.
Please help!!!

What is it about the definition from your texts that you do not understand? What you are asking for is pretty generic, and writing a tome to explain it in a forum is not very efficient.
