Input text required message attribute

hello,
The requiredMessage attribute for the inputText tag is available only in JSF 1.2. I have a constraint of using only JSF 1.1. I need to have custom error messages for the Required=true option. Adding custom message in the resource bundle makes the same message to be displayed for all text boxes; but I need different error messages for different text boxes. Is there a solution to the problem ? Like creating a new class to add the attribute requiredMessage by extending the HTMLInputText class or something like that ?

Thanks & Regards,
Augustine
