Unfortunately, "scripting turned off in my browser" does not integrate well with "the 21st century".

In this day of Ajax and Rich Internet Applications, a browser with scripting disabled is useful for looking at websites of kitten pictures.

Unless, of course, it's a kitty slideshow!

Here is the bottom line (also a bastardization of a pretty good quote):

Watch "who's on first", safe. Don't watch "who's on first", safe. You want to watch "who's on first", but can't, and complain about it... sooner or later, get squished just like grape.

Henry,
What's the original quote that your reply is based on?

Here, karate, same thing. Either you karate do "yes" or karate do "no." You karate do "guess so," ...

I hope that this is "guy thing", which hopefully, will explain why Gregg knew the source... Because if it is an "age thing", I would feel really old...

Here's the complete quote:

Daniel-san, must talk. Walk on road, hm? Walk left side, safe. Walk right side, safe. Walk middle, sooner or later, get squish just like grape. Here, karate, same thing. Either you karate do "yes", or karate do "no". You karate do "guess so", [squish] just like grape. Understand?

I'll assume it's a "guy thing" because I still don't get it

Actually, I don't grasp the fundamental nuance split either - but nor did I understand Henry until I read in the Java Ranch information pages that Henry is an authorized insturment pilot: You ( a person generally ) do not understand what plan ahead really means until you have not only studied insturment pilot, but grasped the consequences of what their method holds ( the value of it's advice )

I obtained a copy of The Empire's flight simulator and took a Lear 25 under the Golden Gate Bridge on the first attempt, no prior familiarization. ( Actually it busted on first attempt because the so-called game had some reality-based exception catching and reported that 101% throttle at 35 degree climb was not allowed in the pattern. Being determined to see what the machine was capable of, I throttled back on second attempt, set up an approach and trimmed out at 300 knots at fifty feet. It is just a piece of equipment, like the computer is.

Because we are in some Moose Manure for not grasping The Master's subtlety, let me introduce some distracting nonsense as probes with which we may split the nuances and grasp Master Wong's patience with the seekers:

[edit - removed not-relevant political comments here]

I am somewhat constrained for time at the moment, so I leave this to give everybody room to work. I will take the heat for any fixups that need to be done or getting someone else out of hot water if they bust in an attempt to grasp my post here.

Besides, the moderators will now think this is Mean (ingless) Drivel.

Ah,... world-class masters. So relaxing.
